A loss in the family gave Lee-Anne Simpson and her sister a vision of a community available for support, advice, expertise, entertainment and connection.
“We realized the more you try to disconnect, to try not to be in pain, the more connection you need,” Simpson said.
After the coronavirus pandemic hit, and self-isolating began, Simpson felt the time was now. She knew there was a need for connection within her community, and she felt the needs were comprehensive enough that the vision she shared with her sister would find an audience.
