Women’s Gathering Circle
A monthly evening to gather.
7:00–10:00 PM (arrive between 6:30-7 pm to settle in as we begin at 7 pm)
If you’ve never been to a circle before, this is a simple place to begin.
We start gently with a short meditation to slow things down, settle the body, and arrive. From there, the evening unfolds naturally with a beautiful glow from beeswax candles all around, like sitting around a campfire. There may be a song, a story, or a short reading, with space to share or simply listen.
You’re free to participate in whatever way feels right , share, listen, hum along, close your eyes, or rest. There’s no pressure to speak and nothing you need to prepare.
There is also a grounding element to the evening, inspired by Indigenous ways of gathering and connecting to the land. We may open and close the circle in this spirit, and offer a gentle smudge for those who choose to participate. Some women choose to wear a skirt, though it is entirely optional.
If you have a drum and feel called to bring it, you’re welcome to — with no expectation to play or participate.
The circle is held in the loft of the Coach House, part of a century home built in 1895. There is a quiet, rooted feeling in the space — something many notice as soon as they arrive.
We gather as women, as neighbours, as individuals coming together to simply be. And each time, something a little special forms in that shared space.
We close the evening with a bit of food, each bringing a small snack to share simple and easy, like a potluck among women.
Come as you are. That’s enough.
